He has played guitar since the age of five, and in 2015 graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance with a 1st class BMus(hons) degree in Popular Music Performance. Sam is a proficient performer who cut his teeth on the London live music circuit, gigging regularly on both guitar and double bass at venues such as the Southbank Centre; the Blues Kitchen; the Green Note; the Convention Centre Dublin and a variety of festivals such as the Isle of White and Wilderness. He is also one of between twenty five and fifty musicians to have played inside the Houses of Parliament.

Sam enjoys playing and teaching a wide variety of styles; ranging from metal to jazz, and indie to bluegrass. His studies have equipped him with an in-depth knowledge of harmony and theory, and, in his sixteen years of playing, has developed priceless experience which he endeavours to pass on to his students of all ages.
